To all members of the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics,
As we mark Paramedic Services Week 2025, I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Council and staff of the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics, to extend our sincere gratitude to each of you.
This year’s theme, “We Care. For Everyone,” is a powerful reflection of the compassion, skill, and resilience you demonstrate every day in communities and each of your diverse roles across our province.
Paramedics serve in many vital roles, not only in traditional ambulances and on the frontlines with patients but also in education, community paramedicine, research, regulation, administration, and leadership. Whether you are delivering hands-on care, shaping policy, supporting your colleagues behind the scenes, or advancing the profession through research and innovation, your contribution matters.
Caring for everyone must include caring for ourselves and for each other. The work you do is demanding, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and yet you continue to show up with courage, empathy, and professionalism. It’s vital that we continue to foster a culture of wellness and peer support, recognizing that sustaining care for others begins with sustaining ourselves.
To our members, and to the families, friends, educators, employers, and healthcare partners who support you: thank you. Your contributions ensure that paramedic care in Saskatchewan remains strong, compassionate, and ever-evolving.
Please take a moment this week to reflect on your impact and take pride in the role you play in the health and safety of our communities.
With deep respect and appreciation,
Noël Dunn
President of Council
