The Saskatchewan College of Paramedics is the licensing body for Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), Primary Care Paramedics (PCP), Intermediate Care Paramedics (ICP), Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP), and Critical Care Paramedics (CCP) in the province of Saskatchewan. The College also endorses licensed Community Paramedics.
The work of the College is accomplished by an elected Council, appointed Committees, and office staff.
Operationally, SCoP conducts day to day business based on simple principles:
- SCoP cares about effective regulation and needs to be relevant in its thinking and actions.
- SCoP cares about safe practice that focuses on what the patient values, and supports the delivery of high quality care.
- SCoP cares about the wellness of its providers and believes that healthy practitioners deliver quality patient care.
- SCoP cares about fiscal accountability and stability and its obligation to ensure that professional regulation continues without interruption.
