Registration Information for Applicants Licensed in Another Province

  • Applicants licensed as an EMR or Paramedic in another jurisdiction or Province in Canada are licensed in Saskatchewan through Labour Mobility
    • Includes lapsed licences/registrations
    • Not a transfer of licensure. All jurisdictions operate independently 
  • Available licence levels are Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), and Critical Care Paramedic (CCP)
  • Community Paramedic (CP) endorsement is available to all Paramedic levels 
  • Gap Training
  • Fees:
    • Non-refundable application fee: $50
    • Practicing licence: $520. Reduces by 25% each quarter
    • Restricted licence: no fee for restrictions relating to Labour Mobility gap training

Original documents required by mail

  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector query, completed by a police officer within the past 6 months
    • If unable to obtain a local criminal record check, Sterling Backcheck is approved
    • Upload a digital copy to the online application form (if you have one), and send the original to:

  • Labour Mobility form complete the top portion of this Labour Mobility form (pdf) and e-mail it to each Canadian regulatory agency where you are currently or previously licensed. They will complete the form and mail the original directly to SCoP

Applications for licensure are approved within 2 business days of receipt of all requirements. Send these documents by mail first. This step takes the longest.

  • Go to the Applicant Portal and select Applicants that are Licensed in another Jurisdiction
  • PLEASE NOTE: You must add “” to the safe senders list in your email account to ensure you receive all SCoP communications

  • Mandatory Certificates – OPTIONAL
    • Educational certificates are not required for initial registration of Labour Mobility candidates, however they are required for licence renewal (October 1 – December 1)
    • This step is optional but recommended

Your Licence

When you are approved, your information will be updated on the Online Registry, and your Member Licence and Wallet Card will be available from Your Account.

All licences must be renewed each year by December 1.
