The Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) would like to remind all members that when working in Lloydminster, it is expected that the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Medical Control Protocols (MCPs) will be followed. Access to these protocols is on our website under Protocol Manuals, Lloydminster Protocols.
The temporary allowance previously granted expires on April 5, 2022. At this time all paramedics working in Lloydminster will be required to continue following the Alberta MCPs. No paramedic can utilize a skill or medication for which they have not received training.
As an additional reminder, anyone responding to calls or practising in Alberta must be licensed with both SCoP and the Alberta College of Paramedics.
