Licence Renewal Questions Answered

Here are the answers to the most commonly asked Licence Renewal 2024 questions:

CME including Mental Health credits:

  • Quick and free CME credits, including credits for mental health and the required Documentation Module, can be found on the following page in the Online CME and Mental Health Education tables: https://collegeofparamedics.sk.ca/professional-practice/continuing-education-and-certifications/
  • To add CME that is not listed, choose either Unlisted Course or Unlisted Mental Health Course
  • If you are unable to select CME or the unlisted options from the dropdown list and you’re using an iPhone, turn your phone sideways and then select
  • If you are unable to add CME, please call SCoP to have your settings changed
  • Instructors receive 4 credits. Council and Committee members receive 4 credits. Course Developers receive the same number as the course

Skills:

  • Experienced members who do not have the new BVM with OPA and PEEP skill but still have valid Supraglottic Airways should add the new skill and apply the same date as your Supraglottic Airways
  • New members who do not have the new BVM with OPA and PEEP skill listed in your account should add the new skill and apply the same date as your graduation date
  • ACP members – your skills were simplified on the Skills Reporting form but this will not be reflected in the database until next year. Please add them separately even though they’ve been combined
  • The Skills Reporting forms within the Licence Renewal form are not the most recent; please use the Skills Reporting forms on our main website >

Certificates:

  • If you don’t have your ITLS card, upload a letter from your instructor that states your name, the date you took the course, and that you passed the course. Later, when you receive your ITLS card, it can be uploaded to the Mandatory Certificates area of your Member Account

Personal Liability Insurance:

  • All members must obtain the insurance that we have arranged for SCoP members even if you currently hold liability insurance. Attach your new SCoP insurance policy to the renewal form and email us your other insurance policy to apply for a refund
  • Members that do not live in Saskatchewan should list their employer’s address on the insurance application. For those whose employer is also not based in Saskatchewan, use the SCoP address (205-3775 Pasqua Street, Regina SK  S4S 6W8)

Restrictions:

  • If you have been unable to complete all educational requirements (Skills, Certificates, or CME), please choose a Restriction to give yourself 6 more months to complete requirements. Restrictions at licence renewal do not change how you work. To remove your restriction later, upload the missing requirement to your Member Account and email us to let us know your restriction can be removed

Login Help:

  • Security Question Answers are case sensitive–they are passwords too!
  • SaskTel and some Gmail email addresses continue to not receive password reset emails. Please call SCoP asap if you’re waiting for an email
  • Username is your email address and it must be all lowercase to work
