For members who are still working on their 2026 licence renewals, here are some helpful tips!
Error Messages on the Mandatory Certificates page are related to Professional Liability Insurance:
- If you are trying to renew as Non-Practicing and you are getting an error message on the Mandatory Certificates page, it’s because you haven’t uploaded your Professional Liability Insurance certificate
- This includes situations where it seems to be asking for your CPR-BLS or your ITLS, please note the error message is also asking for your Professional Liability Insurance. Upload your insurance and the form will let you continue past that section
- If you are uploading your Professional Liability Insurance certificate and it seems to disappear, please note the only acceptable start date is January 1, 2026
- If you are unable to add a Restriction on the Mandatory Certificates page, upload your Professional Liability Insurance and it will allow you to choose a Restriction for the rest of your outstanding certificates.

What if you don’t haven’t met your educational requirements?
If you don’t have educational requirements completed you can add a Restriction to your licence on each page where you are missing requirements. You cannot add a Restriction for Professional Liability Insurance.
Restrictions at Licence Renewal do not change how you work. They give you 6 months to complete requirements.
