Continuing Education
and Certifications

Continuing education and Additional Training

Practicing members of the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics are required to complete 20 continuing medical education (CME) credits each calendar year, 5 of which must be for mental health, along with keeping certifications and skills current, in order to renew their licence for the next year. Additionally, new members of the College who have trained outside of Saskatchewan may be required to complete gap training in order to remove licence restrictions.

CME and gap training must be from approved courses. The resource below is not intended to be a comprehensive list of courses available.

Helpful info: Renewal explanations and instructions

Agencies/Instructors: To have your course approved, visit CME Course Approvals

Note: CME credits are not awarded for mandatory skills and certifications, and credits cannot be claimed for the same course two years in a row.
